Some patios just need a good cleaning. Others need a full reconditioning - and this marble patio was the latter. The stone had lost its luster and the space wasn't doing the property any favors. So we came in, reconditioned the marble surface, and brought it back to something worth showing off.
Once the patio was looking sharp again, we finished the perimeter with clean aluminum edging. It's one of those details that separates a polished job from a sloppy one. The edging locks everything in, keeps the stone stable, and gives the whole space a defined, intentional look.
Then came the pergola. We went with a premium white pergola with fluted columns and a retractable yellow canopy - the kind of structure that actually earns its keep. It gives the space shade when you want it and an open sky when you don't. That flexibility is a big deal for a patio you actually plan to use.
What we ended up with here is an outdoor space that works on multiple levels. The marble holds up the character of the property, the edging keeps it tight, and the pergola ties it together as a real destination in the yard. This is what hardscaping done right looks like - every element earning its place.
Projects like this remind us why prep and material quality matter so much. A premium pergola sitting on a neglected surface would have looked out of place. Getting the foundation right first is what made the whole thing come together.
